Application Integration with the SIS Project
The Student Information Systems (SIS) Project provides campus with an important opportunity to improve student, faculty, and staff experience by redesigning the ways data are shared. This redesign will involve changes in data formats, integration access, and security enforcement that each need your support to deliver. Because of this, the SIS Project will be impacting campus systems that will need to exchange data with the core SIS. Below is an outline of changes and next steps needed from campus application owners to begin integrating with the new SIS.
Integrating Your Systems with the New SIS
The SIS Integration team will be working with campus systems owners and developers to identify and build the necessary integrations. This work will proceed based on the launch dates of the several modules of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. For example, systems that exchange admissions data will be dealt with first. If you support one of the integrating systems, you will be expected to adapt it to be compatible with the new standards. You also will be responsible for making sure that any systems downstream from yours continue to work as expected. The SIS Integration team will help you by explaining integration methods, data structure, and developing prototypes and code samples. They will also facilitate a series of workshops for all interested developers to review the Enterprise Integration Architecture and explore best practices.
Next Steps for You to Get Ready
The SIS Integrations team needs to know who you are and which systems you need to integrate, but they won’t have a complete inventory without your help. Look for an upcoming direct message from the team, and be ready to self identify as needed.

Prior to the SIS Integration team engaging with you, catalog the data you’re currently exchanging with core SIS systems. The team will work with you to develop an understanding of the emerging data structures specific to your systems.
