March 4, 2016: Integration Announcement

Hello Campus Application Developers,

Course, Class, Class Sections and Enrollment EDOs are now available on bMeta. We encourage you to review this information as it describes the structure and data that will be provided in the API.

In addition to the EDOs, draft specs are also available on API Central. These “interactive docs” describe the API interface including required and optional parameters.  While you cannot yet request credentials to these APIs or use the “Try it out” feature, you can see what will be available when the API is released for user acceptance testing.

The Course, Class and Enrollment APIs will be available in Production on 3/22/16 (SIS Project Go-Live 5) and we expect them to be ready for testing in API Central UAT with the “Try it out!” feature on 3/14.

Because the two entities are so closely related, the Class and Class Section EDOs are both accessed through the Class API.

Course, Class, Enrollment Highlights

  • Course API provides access to the Course Catalog and includes course description, prerequisites and requirements met, credit, grading options and typical offering pattern.

  • Class API provides access to the Class Schedule for a particular term and includes details such as class location, meeting days and times, and instructor(s).

  • Enrollment API provides access to the number of enrolled and open seats, waitlist, and for authorized users, will provide a list of students enrolled in a given class, or a list of classes in which a particular student is enrolled.
