Hello Campus Application Developers,

 

Here is the SIS Integrations team weekly summary of items of interest to our integration partners.

Release Schedule

Over the next few months, the SIS Project will be releasing updates approximately every two weeks.  For the Integration Team, these releases will include enhancements to production APIs as well as bug fixes and performance improvements.

 

Go Live Production Release Dates
 

  • 5.4 - 5/15/16

  • 5.5 - 6/5/16

  • 5.6 - 6/19/16

  • 6.0 - 8/1/16

Roadmap for APIs

Here is a description for what is planned for these releases. More work may be identified for the later releases.

 

  • Student API -

    • will continue to be “filled out” with data in the Student EDO as SIS business processes are brought online and this new data becomes available.

    • will be enhanced with new features including “collections” which will provide the ability to retrieve sets of student records based on certain criteria.

  • Class API will be enhanced with additional search features and data such as class restrictions and “reserve capacity.”

  • Terms API - new API to provide dates related to an academic term.

  • Registration Status Check API - new API to mirror functionality of the legacy registration status check API.

 

In addition to campus-facing API enhancements, we will continue to work with campus developers throughout the summer to integrate their applications with SIS.
