Advising Team Weekly Updates

Tuesday, October 4, 2016
Decisions:
  • Decision last week was made to go-live with the Academic Progress Report (APR) in GL 7.1 for only advisor access and roll out student access early next year.  The roll-out will be gradual where the APRs will be live for advisors to access College of Engineering students first and then in GL 7.2 all APRs for all students from each College will be accessible to advisors to generate.

Meeting Outcomes:
  • Advising Triage session took place 9/22.  The advisors had many questions surrounding the Academic Progress Report (APR) and the Multi-Year Planner (MYP).  The event's primary focus was on fielding questions and comments that the campus community had for the SIS Project, but Academic Advising walked away with valuable information about business process and tool functionality that we can weave into our daily decisions as well as tool functionality setup.  A follow up session is planned for 10/6.  However, concerns have been raised about the timing of the session given GL7.1 will require all of the AA Team's time.
